We recommend that you have one tree or post with a circumference of no more than 9 feet (for the ratchet), the other trees circumference does not matter. Also please account for the circumference of the trees/posts, for example if the circumference of each trees is 3 feet then you must have at most 62 feet between the trees/posts.
